It is possible that an error in translation (Partido Colorado would be properly Rudá/Červená strana) will start people saying it wrong. Now I don't know if whoever translated colorado into Czech mistook it for colorido, which is indeed colorful (or barevný in Czech) of if they did that to avoid any confusion with rudá/červená, which have clear communist overtones.
