Trandafir
Romanian is the only Indo-European language I am aware of that doesn't normally use a cognate for rose to name that flower, but uses trandafir instead, from modern Greek meaning thirty leaves. This dictionary presents two cognates, but labels them regional or archaic. Even two non-Indo-European languages like Finnish and Hungarian use something similar to rose.
