I learned the Portuguese word bibliopola, which is a book dealer. Hitting the dictionaries, I also struck on bibliopola in Spanish and Italian. Bibliopole is English and French.
The Spanish dictionary calls it poco usado (little used), the Italian lett. rar. (literary rare), the French lit. peu usité (litterary, little used). The Portuguese and the English dictionary say nothing about its popularity, but you and I know it is an obscure word. The curious thing is that the English dictionary is the only one that says it is a dealer in rare books. No other dictionary states the same.
Βιβλιόπολις (pronounced vivliópolis) is still used in Modern Greek.
