The book Dreaming in Hindi states there is a Slovak proverb that goes With each new language, you acquire a new soul.
I looked for a literal translation online, something like S každým novým jazykom získaš novú dušu, but that didn't turn up anything. The proverb is probably that famous one Koľko jazykov vieš, toľkrát si človekom, which we also find in Czech, Kolik jazyků znáš, tolikrát jsi člověkem, both meaning something like The more languages you know, the more of a person you are.
