Decepção

As imagens não foram desenhadas para proteger o consumidor de confusão ou decepção, tampouco para aumentar o conhecimento sobre os riscos de fumar; ou melhor, foram elaboradas para evocar uma forte resposta emocional, calculada para levar a pessoa deixar de fumar ou nunca começar.

Só entendi porque sei inglês. Decepção? É deception, ou seja, trapaça, engano, mal traduzido. É não é que tenho razão?

U.S. District Judge Richard Leon wrote in his ruling that the images “were neither designed to protect the consumer from confusion or deception, nor to increase consumer awareness of smoking risks; rather, they were crafted to evoke a strong emotional response calculated to provoke the viewer to quit or never start smoking.”
